Kimberly Irwin is a freelance writer, designer and educator. She received her B.A. for Syracuse University and her MFA in Fashion Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. She worked as a Professor of Fashion Design for four years at SCAD Atlanta before moving to Florence, Italy to learn traditional Italian leather working techniques. Upon her return to the states she wrote a textbook, published by Bloomsbury Academic called Surface Design for Fabric. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her three-legged shih tzu named Peggy where she creates and publishes online content related to all things fashion design.
